The BLM continues it's aggressive assault on America's wild horses December, 2009 "Horse Power" Feature Sun Valley Magazine July, 2009 Round up of Challis Herd, Idaho 211 horses out of 423 were "removed", and 11 fatalities. November, 2009 Fundraiser for Rescued Wild Mares Gilman Contemporary October, 2009 19 Wild Mares from Challis Herd adopted! Sept 16, 2009 Author Deanne Stillman ("Mustang: The Saga of the Wild Horse in the American West") and photographer Elissa Kline speak at Community Library in Ketchum Idaho. Wild Horse advocate Jodi Herlich & Doro Lohmann, founder of Silent Voices Equine Rescue, meet that night & decide to take action. Negotiations with the BLM begin the next day to rescue 19 older mares scheduled to be shipped to long term holding. July 6, 2008: BLM considering mass euthanasia of wild horses. Click HERE  for more.
